Maybe Bruce Boudreau was tired and cranky after his Minnesota Wild team concluded a five-game, 10-day road trip earlier in the week. "If (Dubnyk) was in Toronto there would be no Carey Price," Boudreau said, nodding to the notion that players on Canadian teams get more attention than their American team counterparts. Matt Duchene scored his 10th goal and John Mitchell got his first, lifting the Colorado Avalanche over the Boston Bruins 4-2 on Thursday night. The Avalanche won for the 10th time in 11 visits to Boston, where they haven't lost since 1998. Duchene's goal 5:30 into the game was the first of three unassisted tallies for Colorado, which shut down Boston in the third period after David Pastrnak scored twice in the second to pull the Bruins within 3-2. While his .910 save percentage is nothing to get excited about, he’s only let in one goal in his last two starts. This is a guy that hasn’t had a save percentage worse than .916 since becoming Tampa’s starter, so an improvement is very likely. Vancouver is 28th in the NHL in goals scored, averaging a paltry 2.19 per game. Continue to Article
