Fourth-ranked North Carolina blew by its first six opponents in frightening fashion. The Tar Heels could solidify themselves as early NCAA title contenders if they can do it one more time against No. 16 Wisconsin on Wednesday in the championship game of the Maui Invitational in Lahaina, Hawaii. Ethan Happ had 19 points and 15 rebounds, Bronson Koenig scored 20 points and No. 16 Wisconsin advanced to the Maui Invitational championship game with a 73-57 win over Georgetown on Tuesday. Wisconsin (4-1) used a short burst out of halftime to take control and stayed there behind the inside-out game of Happ and Koenig. Oregon fell from No. 4 to No. 13 in the Associated Press poll this week, and the Ducks may depart the Top 25 next week. After losing to unranked Baylor last week, the Ducks fell 65-61 to unranked Georgetown in the first round of the Maui Invitational on Monday. Georgetown and Wisconsin will meet again. The unranked Hoyas upset No. 13 Oregon 65-61 in the first round of the Maui Invitational Monday to set up a second-round game Tuesday against No. 16 Wisconsin, which beat Tennessee 74-62 in the first round.
