The road-weary Chicago Bulls conclude a six-game trip Friday night against the Philadelphia 76ers. "How together we are, man," veteran guard/forward Jimmy Butler told the Chicago Tribune. The Bulls revamped their roster in the offseason, notably signing free agent guards Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo and acquiring center Robin Lopez from the New York Knicks in a trade involving guard Derrick Rose. For five months, Draymond Green has worked to block out the unrelenting criticism that his Game 5 suspension in the NBA Finals cost Golden State a repeat championship - a fateful swipe at LeBron James' groin that swung the series for Cleveland. It stings Green to this day he couldn't play, forced to watch from next door from an Oakland Athletics baseball game while his teammates fought for a title without him. "He came back out and said that he could go," Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry said. Continue to Article

It was Denver's 10th straight home win over the Bulls and its 16th in the last 17 meetings at Pepsi Center. Butler had 35 points and eight rebounds for Chicago, which last won in Denver on Feb. 8, 2006. Continue to Article

Embiid has been the toast of the NBA, every other night at least, since the exhibition season, and he clanked glasses in Philly’s first pair of consecutive wins in 32 months: 22 points, five rebounds and three blocks in just 22 minutes of play. The idea that the center position is a space best held by those working in the distant past – like major Embiid fan Patrick Ewing – seems less rooted in reality than the certainty of Miami’s most recent loss and 4-9 record.
