Less than 24 hours after allowing a late lead to slip away before losing in overtime, the New Jersey Devils on Saturday night will face a stiff test at Prudential Center from one of the NHL's top teams. The Tampa Bay Lightning, who have won five of seven to start the season and enjoyed a day off Friday while the Devils were losing to the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2, erased a 2-0 deficit in their first meeting with the Devils on Oct. 15 and earned a 3-2 regulation win. The assist was Marner’s third of the game, which currently stands at 3-2 in favor of the Maple Leafs. Continue to Article

The Montreal Canadiens are riding high but their early season success will be put to the test against one of their toughest opponents to date. Winners of five straight after dispatching the New York Islanders 3-2 on Wednesday night, Montreal (6-0-1) returns home to host a rested Tampa Bay Lightning squad on Thursday night at the Bell Centre. Defenseman Shea Weber scored the game-winner on a late third period power play to go with an assist, and now leads the Canadiens with nine points. Continue to Article

Montreal Canadiens
The puck rolled to Shea Weber and everyone in Barclays Center knew what was coming next. In the process, he screened him, and Weber’s point blast on the power play at 17:03 gave the Habs the lead and eventually the win, 3-2, improving to 6-0-1 on the young season. “I’m maybe [surprised] at the point total,” said Montreal’s Paul Byron.
