The Los Angeles Kings' goaltending carousel took another unfortunate turn on Saturday as Jeff Zatkoff hurt his groin in the morning skate and was placed on injured reserve. The 29-year-old Zatkoff (0-3-0, 4.37 goals-against average) needed assistance to get off the ice for the Kings, who are reeling from losing franchise goaltender Jonathan Quick to a groin injury during the first period of the season opener. The Los Angeles Kings placed goalie Jeff Zatkoff on injured reserve Saturday after he hurt his groin during a morning skate, setting in motion a chain of events that will force the Kings' top minor league affiliate to use a father-son goaltending tandem. Canucks coach Willie Desjardins knows this formula for success can't be sustained. Henrik Sedin scored 1:40 into overtime after Bo Horvat tied it late in the third period, lifting Vancouver over the St. Louis Blues 2-1 on Tuesday night.
