Brett Rypien doesn't receive much national attention since he doesn't play for a power-conference school. Rypien looks to build on his best performance of the season when the No. 15 Broncos host Colorado State in a Mountain West game Saturday (10:15 p.m ET, ESPN2). Houston’s lock on a New Year’s Six both is no longer a certainty thanks to last week’s 46-40 loss to Navy. Houston, which dropped from No. 6 to No. 13 in this week’s AP Poll, is still the highest-ranked Group of Five team, but it won’t be in play for a New Year’s Six bowl unless it’s able to win its conference, which seems like a bit of a longshot right now. Georgia's Kirby Smart and South Carolina's Will Muschamp got an extra day to prep for this week's game because of Hurricane Matthew - and both needed as much time as possible to turn around their teams' current slides. The Bulldogs (3-2, 1-2 Southeastern Conference) have lost two straight after their 3-0 start while the Gamecocks (2-3, 1-3) have also lost their past two conference games heading into Sunday's game, delayed from Saturday night because of Matthew.
