It's not the quality of his pitches that stand out about Michael Fulmer, although the pitches are impressive. Fulmer will need 6 1/3 innings to reach 162, which would qualify him for the American League ERA title. Fulmer currently has the lowest ERA in the league (2.95, although he technically was off the list for one day) and, if he can keep his runs allowed down Wednesday, he could become the first rookie to win the ERA title since the Tigers' Mark Fidrych in 1976 (2.34). Miguel Cabrera homered and drove in five runs in the first two innings, and Justin Verlander struck out 12 to lift the Detroit Tigers to a 12-0 victory Tuesday night against a Cleveland lineup full of backups. The Indians clinched the AL Central title on Monday night in Detroit, and their starting lineup Tuesday was without Jason Kipnis, Francisco Lindor, Mike Napoli and Jose Ramirez. The aroma in Cleveland's clubhouse was the first reminder of the team's division championship - a smell left over from the bubbly celebration the night before. The batting order was another sign the Indians were still basking in the glow of the AL Central title they clinched some 18 hours earlier.
