No school has won more Pac-12 football championships than USC (38, more than double second place), but Stanford has won three of the last four titles. Stanford's football and softball teams have been found guilty of multiple NCAA violations and the school received a $5,000 fine. One football player received about $3,500 in impermissible benefits and the softball team violated the participation rule that limits practice and playing time to 20 hours per week. Utah prosecutors filed rape charges Thursday against a University of Southern California football player who is also under investigation for an alleged sexual assault in California involving the same victim. Osa Masina is accused of sexually assaulting the woman after she passed out following a party the night of July 25 in a Salt Lake City suburb, according to charging documents filed by Utah authorities Thursday. The woman, 19, told investigators the assaults occurred after drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana at a party with Masina, whom she had known for several years. Continue to Article
