There will be a very familiar face in the visitor's locker room at Virginia Tech on Saturday. Scot Loeffler, the Hokies' offensive coordinator for the last three years of Frank Beamer's tenure at Virginia Tech, is now holding the same position with Boston College. Ara Parseghian still bristles 50 years later at the notion No. 1 Notre Dame played for a tie against No. 2 Michigan State in one of the most famous games in college football history. The Irish were without their top running back, quarterback Terry Hanratty had a separated shoulder after being hit by defensive lineman Bubba Smith, several other players were injured and backup quarterback Coley O'Brien was ailing. GAME OF THE WEEK: No. 2 Florida State at No. 10 Louisville, in the first of three marquee matchups in the most top-heavy division in college football - the Atlantic Division also has No. 5 Clemson, which plays both schools. The Seminoles - who have outscored their opponents 84-12 during their last six quarters - will have to stop QB Lamar Jackson, who leads the conference in six individual stat categories and in two blowouts has thrown for six touchdowns and rushed for six more. Paul Johnson hears criticism of his Georgia Tech team's mixed performance in its 2-0 start, and he is reminded that it can be dangerous to reach conclusions after only two games. The Yellow Jackets outscored their first two opponents by a combined margin of 134-19 in 2015.
