Duke
Wake Forest and Duke have been getting it done on defense. The instate Atlantic Coast Conference rivals meet Saturday in their league opener, and both have defenses that have been overshadowed by offenses that were at opposite ends of the spectrum during their openers. Neither team allowed a touchdown in opening-game victories, with Wake Forest beating Tulane 7-3 and Duke taking care of North Carolina Central 49-6. Continue to Article

GAME OF THE WEEK: Penn State and Pittsburgh used to play every year when they were both Eastern independents, but the rivalry went dormant after the Nittany Lions joined the Big Ten and Pitt went to the ACC. Duke
Daniel Jones threw for two touchdowns and ran for another in his first college start, and Duke routed North Carolina Central 49-6 on Saturday night. Jela Duncan set the tone with a 50-yard touchdown run on the second play from scrimmage, added a 3-yard TD run and matched a career high with 115 yards. The Blue Devils (1-0) once again had an easy time against their lower-level crosstown opponent, building a three-touchdown lead before the Eagles (0-1) ran a play inside Duke territory and leading 49-0 at halftime after scoring TDs on seven of their 10 first-half possessions. Duke
Duke is breaking in a new quarterback. The Blue Devils' offense still should look familiar. Redshirt freshman Daniel Jones makes his debut with the Blue Devils on Saturday night when they open the season against crosstown opponent North Carolina Central. Continue to Article
