If you just looked at the names of the starting pitchers for Wednesday's series finale between Texas and Oakland, it would seem like a no-contest on paper. The Rangers will go with one of their aces in right-hander Yu Darvish (3-3) as they look to complete a three-game sweep of the A's. Oakland will counter with rookie left-hander Sean Manaea (4-7). As good as Darvish had been in his career overall, he's been dreadful against the A's. Darvish has made 11 career starts against Oakland and has just one win. Continue to Article

Rougned Odor was ready to hit for the Texas Rangers with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th inning. Odor was hit by a pitch, forcing in the winning run and capping a three-run rally that gave the AL-best Rangers a 5-4 victory over the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday night. Texas Rangers starter Lucas Harrell left Tuesday night's game against Oakland after two innings because of a right groin strain. Texas Rangers leadoff hitter Shin-Soo Choo will have surgery to insert a plate near the break in his left wrist and forearm after he was hit by a pitch. The fracture, which happened in Monday's 5-2 win over Oakland on a pitch from left-hander Ross Detwiler, is likely to end his season. The surgery is scheduled for Wednesday. Continue to Article
