Boston Red Sox closer Craig Kimbrel will undergo surgery to repair torn cartilage in his left knee and is expected to miss 3-6 weeks, the team announced Saturday. New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard and outfielder Yoenis Cespedes are not going to play in the All-Star Game in San Diego because of injuries. NL manager Terry Collins of the Mets made the announcement before Saturday night's home game against Washington.
