Cleveland Indians
Carlos Carrasco is not looking for a repeat of his last start against the Tigers when the Cleveland Indians visit Detroit on Saturday. Carrasco (2-2, 3.26 ERA) pitched against Detroit on April 24, and suffered a strained left hamstring covering first base in the third inning. Also, Carrasco is 2-4 with a 7.62 ERA over his career at Comerica Park. Continue to Article

Cleveland Indians
The Cleveland Indians have absolutely dominated the Detroit Tigers this season. Coming into Friday's game at Comerica Park, Cleveland had won each of the first six matchups. On top of that, Cleveland had won six straight games overall after sweeping back-to-back home series against the White Sox and Rays. Those trends did not bode well for Detroit,. Based on the crazy finish to Friday's game, they may even be destined to continue forever. Despite the Tigers challenging the Indians bullpen in a dramatic ninth inning, Cleveland still walked away with a 7-4 victory after center fielder Rajai Davis reached into his bag of tricks to save the day. [ Join a Yahoo Daily Fantasy Baseball contest now ] With one run already in during the final frame, Detroit sent Miguel Cabrera to the plate representing the winning run. As he so often does, Cabrera hit a line drive that appeared ticketed for extra bases. Davis ended up running the baseball down in deep center, but couldn't make a clean catch as it bounced off his glove and rolled up his arm. Amazingly, in the midst of all that, Davis was able to collect himself, allowing him to grab it out of the air on the second try. The catch itself was remarkable, strange and also very confusing for the baserunners. By the time Davis pulled it in, Ian Kinsler had already crossed home plate and Cameron Maybin was at third base, meaning a game-ending double play was one long throw away. ''That was a heck of a catch, because it is a long way out there in right-center,'' Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said. ''We had Raj here for a couple years, and everyone likes him, but I wish he had missed that.'' Davis also played a part offensively, picking up a pair of hits. The Indians finished with four triples, including two from Jason Kipnis.  Once again, it wasn't meant to be for Detroit against the first-place Indians. But the good news (or perhaps news) is they'll get two more shots to turn the tide this weekend.  More MLB coverage from Yahoo Sports: - - - - - - - Mark Townsend is a writer for Big League Stew on Yahoo Sports.
