New York Yankees
Pushing their best hitters to the top of the batting order has not worked out yet for the Toronto Blue Jays. Jose Bautista, Josh Donaldson and Edwin Encarnacion combined to go 1 for 10 in Tuesday night's 6-0 loss to the New York Yankees, leaving them with a .224 batting average (13 for 58) and 11 RBIs in five games since manager John Gibbons shuffled his lineup. Thanks to six strong innings from Nathan Eovaldi and a home run from Carlos Beltran in Tuesday's 6-0 victory, New York (22-22) owns a 32-11 scoring advantage in the last six games. New York is leaning toward activating him for a trip that starts Friday at Tampa Bay but could shorten Rodriguez's time in the minors if he feels good. Continue to Article
