Chicago White Sox
Baltimore's Adam Jones was playing shallow in center field when 5-foot-6 rookie Tony Kemp came to the plate with no outs in the 13th inning. Kemp proved he has plenty of power in his small frame when he connected on a ball off Dylan Bundy that sailed over Jones' head for his first career triple, and he later scored the winning run in a 3-2 victory by the Houston Astros. ''I don't know how many times that kid has hit the ball that far, but he crushed it,'' Jones said. Continue to Article

Chicago White Sox
Continued dominance over the Minnesota Twins has allowed the Kansas City Royals to extend their resurgence. The Royals can sweep the three-game set Wednesday by beating the Twins for a ninth straight time overall and in Minnesota. Lorenzo Cain had four hits and Salvador Perez clubbed a two-run homer to help Kansas City (24-21) win for the seventh time in nine games, 7-4 on Tuesday. Continue to Article

Cleveland Indians
Chicago White Sox ace Chris Sale doesn't have much to be upset about this season. His team is in first, and he's currently the leader in the clubhouse for the AL Cy Young award. Coming into Tuesday's start against the Cleveland Indians, Sale was 9-0, with a 1.58 ERA. [ Join a Yahoo Daily Fantasy Baseball contest now ] Tuesday's start, however, didn't go so well. Sale was knocked around against Cleveland, giving up six earned runs over 3 1/3 innings. He allowed seven hits and was uncharacteristically wild, walking four. When the dust settled, Cleveland defeated the White Sox 6-2 , and saddled Sale with his first loss of the season. Following the contest, Sale went off on a pretty vicious tirade ... on himself. Sale: " I stunk. I was bad. I was terrible. Embarrassing, quite honestly." — Scott Merkin (@scottmerkin) May 25, 2016 That wasn't all. Sale made it clear that he wasn't upset with any of his teammates. He took sole blame for the team's loss. Sale: "We didn’t lose. I lost this game. Tonight was on me, 100 percent." No tougher critic on Sale than Sale himself. — Scott Merkin (@scottmerkin) May 25, 2016 It's a pretty harsh criticism, especially for a guy who has made four consecutive All-Star games and owns a career 2.82 ERA. Sale has never really cared about individual accomplishments. So, the fact that he's now 9-1 with a solid 2.26 ERA isn't going to matter to him. Prior to the start of the season, Sale even said he's " never pitched in a meaningful game " throughout his career because he's never made the playoffs.  While that looked promising early, the White Sox have dropped off a bit lately. After going 17-8 in April, the club is just 10-12 in May. After Tuesday's win, Cleveland is just 1.5 games out of first. [Elsewhere: Matt Harvey may not make his next start with the Mets after another rough outing ] Sale has done everything he can to keep the team afloat during that period, tossing two straight complete-games prior to Tuesday's setback. While he still might be the frontrunner for the Cy Young award, it's clear that's not going to matter to him unless the White Sox are playing in October.  More MLB coverage from Yahoo Sports: - - - - - - - Chris Cwik is a writer for Big League Stew on Yahoo Sports. Cleveland Indians
After roughing up the staff ace of the Chicago White Sox, the Cleveland Indians look to hand budding star Jose Quintana a third straight defeat. The left-hander will try to keep the visiting Indians from taking this four-game set with a third consecutive victory Wednesday. Chris Sale's bid for a 10-0 start ended early on Tuesday night when Cleveland (24-20) tagged him for six runs and seven hits in 3 1/3 innings of a 6-2 victory. Continue to Article
