Arizona Diamondbacks
With Stephen Piscotty playing a leading role during an offensive surge, the St. Louis Cardinals are on the verge of winning back-to-back series to open a nine-game homestand. As left-hander Jaime Garcia opposes him again, the Cardinals hope to get to Greinke again Sunday when they go after their fourth win in five games in the series finale at Busch Stadium. Piscotty went 2 for 3 with a double and Yadier Molina, Matt Adams and Jedd Gyorko homered as St. Louis (23-20) evened this series with Saturday's 6-2 victory. Continue to Article

''The ninth inning was good, we got after the closer, we got him up in the 30s pitch-wise and that's good for tomorrow, got a little moment back, kind of like what they did to us last night,'' Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale said. St. Louis Cardinals
Mike Leake was able to finally endear himself to the St. Louis Cardinals fans, while burning a team he wanted to sign with as a free agent this offseason. Bouyed by home runs from Jedd Gyorko, Matt Adams and Yadier Molina, Leake pitched seven scoreless innings and the Cardinals beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-2 on Saturday. Leake wanted to go to the Diamondbacks, but ended up with the Cardinals after Arizona signed Zack Greinke and traded for Shelby Miller. Continue to Article

Arizona Diamondbacks
The last time Carlos Martinez faced the Arizona Diamondbacks, he dominated. Since then, it's been nothing but scuffles for the St. Louis Cardinals' right-hander. Martinez allowed four runs in five innings in an 11-7 loss on Friday night, and lost his fourth straight start. Continue to Article
