South Korean rightfielder Choo Shin-Soo was activated from the Major League Baseball injury list Friday by the Texas Rangers, who plan to return him to the leadoff batter role. Choo has a career .281 batting average in his 16th North American season with 139 home runs, 550 runs batted in, 650 runs scored and 113 stolen bases. Choo signed with the Seattle Mariners in 2005 and was traded the next season to the Cleveland Indians, where he stayed through the 2012 campaign until being traded to the Cincinnati Reds.
