May 6 (Sports Xchange) - The 3-pointers keep falling and the Cleveland Cavaliers are sitting pretty. The red-hot Cavs hit 21 more 3-pointers and Kyrie Irving and LeBron James took over in the fourth quarter, lifting Cleveland past the Atlanta Hawks 121-108 on Friday night at Philips Arena. The Cavs lead the Eastern Conference playoff series 3-0. No NBA team has ever overcome a 0-3 deficit in a best-of-seven series. Game 4 is Sunday in Atlanta. Golden State guard Stephen Curry looked strong in training on Friday, but coach Steve Kerr said it was still unlikely his injured star would be in uniform for the Warriors in their playoff game at Portland on Saturday. On Friday morning Kerr indicated on "The Dan Patrick Show" radio broadcast that Curry would definitely miss Saturday's game three of the best-of-seven Western Conference second-round series. After watching Curry, who wore a brace protecting his sprained right knee, Kerr was a little less categorical -- but still doubtful that Curry would suit up on Saturday. Continue to Article

Golden State superstar Stephen Curry zipped around the court bouncing from spot to spot during his typical extensive post-practice shooting routine, driving to the basket past his regular practice coach Bruce Fraser. Coach Steve Kerr reiterated Friday that Curry was unlikely to play despite going through part of practice. Kerr was surprised to see reports of Curry being ruled out based on a radio interview he had given earlier in the day on the ''Dan Patrick Show.''
