The St. Louis Cardinals activated shortstop Ruben Tejada (left quadriceps strain) from the 15-day disabled list Monday. Tejada, 26, injured his quad in the team's final spring training game on March 31 and began the 2016 season on the disabled list. Last season, Tejada batted .261 with three home runs, 23 doubles and 28 RBIs in 116 games for the Mets. Continue to Article

Kansas City Royals
It has been seven years since Mike Moustakas played for the Wilmington Blue Rocks in the Class A Carolina League, but that isn’t preventing the Kansas City Royals’ affiliate from featuring Moustakas in an awesome giveaway later this season. The Blue Rocks will give away 1,250 Moustakas bobbleheads on Aug. 20. The bobbleheads  in questions feature Moustakas’ head on the body of a moose with antlers coming out of his baseball cap. It’s a play on the last name of the Royals’ third baseman, whose nickname is Moose. Part Man. Part Moose. Full Awesome. Moustakas played for Wilmington in 2009 and was in the major leagues two years later. He played in his first All-Star game last season. He’s off to a .217/.280/.522 start to the season with four home runs and five RBI in 11 games. [ Carlos Correa gets a surprise visit from friend battling cancer ] Moustakas isn’t the only current member of the Royals being honored with his own bobblehead night this season in Wilmington. The club will also give away Eric Hosmer, Salvador Perez and Yordano Ventura bobbleheads.  More MLB coverage from Yahoo Sports: The StewPod: A baseball podcast by Yahoo Sports Subscribe via iTunes or via RSS feed - - - - - - - Kyle Ringo is a contributing writer to Big League Stew on Yahoo Sports. Known for his volatile mound presence and blistering fastball, Yordano Ventura says there's something much different about him this year. Ventura is finally showing some confidence in his offspeed pitches, something the right-hander looks to continue Tuesday night when the Kansas City Royals open a six-game homestand with their first look at the AL Central rival Detroit Tigers. Ventura (0-0, 2.45 ERA) has picked up where he left off in 2015 when he went 7-1 with a 2.38 ERA with 81 strikeouts over his last 11 regular-season starts. Continue to Article
