Cincinnati Reds
The magical rookie season of Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story continued Monday night when he hit the go-ahead homer in a tied game against the Cincinnati Reds . His solo shot came with two outs in the eighth inning, and even though the Rockies only needed that one run to win the game, it opened the door to a whole bunch of other runs. After Story homered, a single and a walk brought up Ben Paulsen, who hit a three-run jack and turned a close win for the Rockies into a decisive victory. Story has cooled off a bit since hitting seven homers in his first six games. In the following six games, he hit a grand total of zero, and last night's was his first in over a week. Considering his torrid pace, he had to slow down sometime. And as Chris Cwik said yesterday in his great breakdown of Story's incredible start, that's not a knock on him or his talent. There's just no way he could sustain that kind of performance.  [ Join a Yahoo Daily Fantasy Baseball contest now ] Chris also tackles the very important question of whether Story has value and ability outside of this ridiculous hot streak. The short answer? No one really knows. Most of his story hasn't been written yet (he's been in the majors for just 13 games, after all). But no matter how it ends, the book on Story will begin with amazing facts like this: Most HR, First 13 Career Games Since 1900 Trevor Story 8 Carlos Delgado 7 Dino Restelli 7 via @EliasSports — ESPN Stats & Info (@ESPNStatsInfo) April 19, 2016   More MLB coverage from Yahoo Sports: The StewPod: A baseball podcast by Yahoo Sports Subscribe via iTunes or via RSS feed - - - - - -  Liz Roscher is a writer for Big League Stew on Yahoo Sports. Cincinnati Reds
Welcome to The Walk Off, the nightly MLB recap from Big League Stew. Here we'll look the top performers of the night, show you a must-see highlight and rundown the scoreboard. First, we start with a game you need to know about. There was a lot of talk about a certain ex-St. Louis Cardinals player who would be making his return to Busch Stadium on Monday in a Chicago Cubs uniform. And while Jason Heyward made a couple contributions in the Cubs' 5-0 win against the Cardinals in their first meeting of 2016, it was another ex-Card who stung the hardest. Continue to Article

Cincinnati Reds
Blue Jays 4, Red Sox 3 Russell Martin's two-out, two run single in the eighth inning capped a four-run inning for Toronto en route to a victory over Boston. Martin's decisive hit came off Red Sox closer Craig Kimbrel, who entered in relief of a shaky Koji Uehara in a 1-1 game with one out in the eighth and struck out Edwin Encarnacion, but allowed a bases-loaded walk to Troy Tulowitzki. Michael Saunders drove in the tying run on his groundout earlier in the inning. Continue to Article
