Montreal Canadiens
Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price and defenseman P.K. Subban have been shut down with two games remaining in the season, the team announced Wednesday. Price has been out since Nov. 25 because of what the Canadiens said is a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee. Subban sustained a neck injury on March 10 against the Buffalo Sabres when he collided with teammate Alexei Emelin. Continue to Article

Dogs and the NHL have found a closer connection this year. The relationship took off with Bobby Ryan’s puppy goal, and then went a step further with Cam Atkinson’s puppy hat trick . Now come dachshunds playing hockey, starring Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund. The video involves Crusoe and his brother Oakley decked out in adorable mini Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs garb hitting around a ball in a driveway. It’s a feel good moment for Habs and Leafs fans, since both teams won’t make the Stanley Cup Playoffs this year. Crusoe is indeed quite a celebrity according to his website. My name is Crusoe and I am a miniature black and tan dachshund. But don’t take ‘miniature’ too much to heart. I was named after Robinson Crusoe for my deep sense of adventure and my natural ability to instill fascination in the public eye. My tagline is “the wiener dog who thinks he’s more of a celebrity than he really is”, but I think at this point I pretty much am a celebrity! He’s also Canadian, which explains the hockey connection. I was born in Montreal, then raised near Mont Tremblant, Quebec for the first couple years of my life. It was then that I moved to the city, where I still am today, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. However, I take a lot of weekend trips back to my original home (now considered my chalet) in the country, or to Toronto to visit my brother Oakley.  There’s been a book written about him called “Crusoe, the Celebrity Dachshund: Adventures of the Wiener Dog Extraordinaire” which was a New York Times bestseller. He has over 163,000 followers on Instagram. MORE FROM YAHOO HOCKEY   - - - - - - - Josh Cooper is an editor for Puck Daddy on Yahoo Sports. Have a tip? Montreal Canadiens
The Montreal Canadiens will close their collapse without two of their best players. A day after officially ruling out Carey Price and P.K. Subban for the season's final two games, some new faces will try to help the Canadiens close their road schedule with a win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday night. Montreal's demise has been long and slow since early December, and it links to the absence of last season's Hart and Vezina Trophy-winning goaltender, Price. Continue to Article

All eyes were on Braden Holtby in his first chance to tie Martin Brodeur's single-season wins record. Then, New York Islanders rookie Christopher Gibson stole the show at the other end. Gibson made 29 saves in his first career NHL start as the Islanders rallied from two goals down in the third period and beat the Washington Capitals 4-3 in overtime Tuesday night to clinch a playoff berth amid a seemingly never-ending torrent of injuries. The last time the Florida Panthers swept a season series from the Montreal Canadiens, they went on to capture their lone division title. There's a chance the Atlantic Division leaders can accomplish both feats when the teams face off Tuesday night. In the playoffs for the first time since the 2011-12 season, Florida (45-25-9) reduced its magic number to two to claim the Atlantic with Monday's 4-3 victory at Toronto. Continue to Article
