Yante Maten scored 19 points and Georgia overcame a season-high 25 points by Shannon Hale to beat slumping Alabama 70-63 on Saturday in the final regular-season game for each team. Georgia (17-12, 10-8 Southeastern Conference) closed the regular season with three straight wins. The Bulldogs appear bound for an NIT bid unless they win next week's SEC tournament in Nashville. Stefan Moody did a little crossover stutter-step, dribbled behind his back and then let a 3-pointer fly from more than 25 feet away from the basket. The Ole Miss senior's fourth 3-pointer of the night gave him 24 points - better than his average of 22.8 - and there was still more than five minutes to go in the first half.
