Los Angeles Kings
One possible reason the Washington Capitals may like their chances of finally winning a Stanley Cup is that they added a pair of players who have lifted it. The receptions for Williams and Richards could be very different, even though both helped Los Angeles (39-22-4) capture Stanley Cups in 2012 and 1014. Williams, who also won the Cup with Carolina in 2006, developed into one of the Kings' most beloved players in his six seasons with them between 2009-15. Continue to Article

San Jose Sharks defenseman Brent Burns cuts an intimidating figure, but he’s never been a fighter in his career.  In fact before Monday’s game against the Calgary Flames, Burns had only been in six regular season fights. But against the Flames, things got feisty for the 6-foot-5, 225-pound Burns. He got into a fight with 6-foot-2, 207-pound Flames forward Garnet Hathaway after a scrum in front of his own net. [ Join a Yahoo Daily Fantasy Hockey contest today ]   According to the above video, a lot of it was more holding and spinning, but luckily for Burns there was no accidental grabbing of his beard. Burns bloodied Hathaway in the fight.  Burns ended up with a Gordie Howe Hat Trick scoring his 24th goal, which leads all NHL defensemen, and notching the game-winning assist in a 2-1 overtime victory. "We're creatures of routine, I think," Burns said after the game . "We do the same thing every night. I think I went 19 games without a goal. You just kind of ride that roller coaster. The guys have been playing well. They've been making good plays and a lot of times I've been the recipient of a lot of good plays." Below is the goal: Here is the assist on Joe Pavelski's OT winner: "(Burns) had some good speed. I saw he was getting by his guy. I was hoping he saw me out in front."  Pavelski said. With the win, the Sharks moved to 78 points, just two behind the Los Angeles Kings for second place in the Pacific Division. The Sharks are 15-0-0 in games where the team's had a Gordie Howe Hat Trick.  MORE FROM YAHOO HOCKEY - - - - - - - Josh Cooper is an editor for Puck Daddy on Yahoo Sports. Have a tip? Los Angeles Kings
The Los Angeles Kings have finally ceded the top spot in the Pacific Division to a rampaging opponent that has dominated them of late. The Kings (38-22-4) saw what was once a 16-point lead over Anaheim fully erased Saturday, losing 3-2 to the visiting Ducks as their city-area rivals moved two points ahead in the Pacific. Anaheim has gone 18-1-1 since being 16 back Jan. 20, while Los Angeles is 9-9-1 in that span. Continue to Article

Los Angeles Kings
The Anaheim Ducks are back in a familiar spot - alone in first place in the Pacific Division for the first time this season after winning three straight division titles. Two victories over the Los Angeles Kings six days apart helped them complete their remarkable comeback. David Perron scored the go-ahead goal on a power play in the second period and the Ducks broke a franchise record with their 11th consecutive victory, beating their Southern California rivals 3-2 on Saturday.
