St. Louis Blues
St. Louis general manager Doug Armstrong offered a very reasonable defense for his inactivity at the trade deadline: The eventual returns of multiple injuried players will add more than enough depth than the Blues could've acquired without giving up someone off the current roster. Since the Canucks also have plenty of ground to make up in the wild-card race, their best bet may be to catch the Sharks (32-22-6). Continue to Article

The Vancouver Canucks used a three-goal third period to storm back for a big win. Matt Bartkowski and Emerson Etem each scored two goals, and Jake Virtanen had the go-ahead score in the third, leading the Canucks to a 5-3 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night. Bartkowski added an assist for the first three-point game of his career, Linden Vey had two assists, and Ryan Miller made 27 saves for the Canucks. Continue to Article
