Tampa Bay forward Steven Stamkos became the third player in franchise history to reach 300 goals, and the Lightning ended a long losing streak in Pittsburgh with a 4-2 win over the Penguins on Saturday. Stamkos knocked in a rebound off Alex Killorn's shot midway through the first period to join Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St. Louis as the only Lightning players with 300 goals. The Pittsburgh Penguins haven't beaten the Tampa Bay Lightning yet this season but that may be since they have yet to host in this matchup. Tampa Bay (31-22-4) had no trouble solving Marc-Andre Fleury in two wins this year, with the Pittsburgh goalie charged with nine goals on 39 shots and getting pulled early in a 6-3 loss Feb. 5. No. 1 Star: Brayden Schenn, Philadelphia Flyers The Flyers doubled up the New Jersey Devils 6-3 as Schenn recorded a three-point night with a goal and two assists. Philadelphia scored four times in the third period to help snap New Jersey’s three-game winning streak. Claude Giroux handed out three assists. Shayne Gostisbehere scored his 11th of the season to extend his point streak to 13 games. No. 2 Star: Andre Burakovsky, Washington Capitals   Burakovsky tied the game late in the second period and then helped set up Evgeny Kuznetsov’s winner with 2:02 left in the third period as the Capitals downed the Los Angeles Kings 3-1. Philipp Grubauer made 39 saves as Washington won for the 15th time in 17 games at Verizon Center. Burakovsky has 16 points in his last 14 games.  No. 3 Star: Craig Anderson, Ottawa Senators Anderson made 38 saves and Bobby Ryan and Kyle Turris scored in the shootout to give the Ottawa Senators a 2-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres. Ryan Dzingel scored his first NHL goal 1:09 after Matt Moulson opened the scoring. Moulson’s goal came thanks to a great no-look pass by Jack Eichel:  Honorable Mention : Loui Eriksson’s goal 33 seconds into overtime helped give the Boston Bruins a 2-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Tuukka Rask made 28 saves … Power play goals from Jordan Staal and Riley Nash helped get the Carolina Hurricanes past the Winnipeg Jets 2-1. Eddie Lack made 20 stops as the Hurricanes have now earned 19 out of a possible 24 points in their last 12 home games … Matt Nieto and Joel Ward each scored a goal and assisted on another as the San Jose Sharks beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-2. Martin Jones stopped 28 shots for his 11th win in 14 starts. According to the AP, Patrick Marleau suited up for his 1,384th NHL game, tying him with Larry Robinson for 39th all-time … Kevin Shattenkirk’s 10th of the season gave the St. Louis Blues a 2-1 overtime win over the Dallas Stars. Brian Elliott started for the 15th straight game and made 17 saves. St. Louis opened the scoring 12 seconds into the second period thanks to referee Kelly Sutherland’s skate … The Anaheim Ducks got goals from five different players in their 5-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers for their 10th win in their last 12 games. Frederik Andersen made 24 saves and assisted on Corey Perry’s empty-net goal. Connor McDavid recorded an assist for the Oilers and now has 13 points in 8 games since returning from injury. Did You Know? Jordin Tootoo’s goal tied the game at 2-2. It was also his first goal since Dec. 22 and his first goal in 22 games. Spooky. Dishonorable Mention : No one was going to miss this embellishment by Joseph Blandisi of the Devils … New Jersey’s power play could only capitalize on one of seven opportunities … Radko Gudas was ejected for a hit on Bobby Farnham in the first period … Tampa has dropped four of their last five.
