This has been a productive business trip for the Anaheim Ducks. In the 55 games this season leading to his dismissal, former Minnesota coach Mike Yeo strung together four winning streaks of three games but never went beyond. John Torchetti is set to match that in the minimum number of games on the job. The opportunity comes Thursday night in Edmonton with the Wild concluding a three-game road trip, while Edmonton is playing the fourth of a six-game homestand. Continue to Article

Calgary Flames
Jonas Hiller and Joni Ortio will hold the fort in goal going forward for the Calgary Flames after it was announced on Wednesday that Karri Ramo is done for the year with a torn ACL and damage to his meniscus. He suffered the injury last week in a collision with Joonas Donskoi of the San Jose Sharks. According to The Fan 960’s Pat Steinberg , Ramo will have surgery later this week and the expected timeline for recovery is 6-8 months. That would put him out of action until late summer/right at the start of the 2016-17 NHL season. Ramo is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.  In 37 starts this season Ramo posted a .917 even strength save percentage and one shutout as he went from starting opening night to being waived to the AHL to regaining the No. 1 job. With the Flames nine points back of a wild card spot, the injury also gives Flames GM Brad Treliving one less piece of trade bait to dangle before the Feb. 29 deadline. Also set to hit the UFA market in July are Hiller (.909 ESV%) and Ortio (.878 ESV%), who haven’t impressed this season. Going forward, does Treliving bring back Ramo on a short-term deal while trying to lure another starter into the fold over the summer? Or do you just say goodbye to all three and bring in some new faces as the makeover continues? - - - - - - - Sean Leahy is the associate editor for Puck Daddy on Yahoo Sports. Have a tip?
