Calgary Flames defenseman Dennis Wideman has been suspended 20 games for cross-checking a linesman, the NHL announced Wednesday. The league said Wideman's suspension without pay was for "conduct violative of Rule 40 (Physical Abuse of Officials)" during last Wednesday's game against the Nashville Predators.
