For most of this season, the Memphis Grizzlies have been one of the very best teams at the end of tight games while the Minnesota Timberwolves have seemingly perfected the art of blowing the big lead by faltering down the stretch. The roles were reversed on Saturday night, with the young Wolves showing their resolve late while the experienced Grizzlies just couldn't come up with the big shots and stops when they needed them. Minnesota Timberwolves interim coach Sam Mitchell has been urging his team to get out in transition virtually all season and against the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, he got what he was looking for. The Timberwolves exploded for 37 points in the second quarter and then held on late for a 106-101 win. Shabazz Muhammad scored 25 points and the Minnesota Timberwolves snapped the Memphis Grizzlies' four-game winning streak with a 106-101 victory on Saturday night. Ricky Rubio had 15 points, 12 assists and six rebounds and Andrew Wiggins scored 19 points for the Timberwolves, who beat a team with a winning record for the first time since Nov. 25. Stephen Curry banked in a shot from midcourt with a hand in his face at the halftime buzzer after his three-quarter court swish at the end of the first was just late and he finished with 39 points and a triple-double, helping coach Steve Kerr win his season debut in the Golden State Warriors' 122-110 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Friday night. Kerr returned from a leave of absence dating to Oct. 1 for complications following two back surgeries, and defending champion Golden State delivered for him by winning its 38th straight home game at Oracle Arena to match the 1985-86 Celtics for third-longest home winning streak all-time.
