The Winnipeg Jets forward received “25-30 stitches” after he took an errant Nik Ehlers blast right off the side of the head in a scary incident that saw him leave the ice in agony. According to Brittany Greenslade of Global News, Little actually suffered a brain bleed and currently remains under observation by neurologists at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. The Jets said on Wednesday that Little was taken to St. Boniface hospital before being transferred to HSC hospital, where he remains at the time of this writing. Continue to Article

Winnipeg Jets center Bryan Little, who was hit in the head by a slapshot in Tuesday night's game against the New Jersey Devils, was still in a hospital Wednesday after receiving stitches the previous night. Little went to St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg before being transferred to the Health Sciences Centre's neurological unit for further observation. Little received 25 to 30 stitches for the cut near his left ear at St. Boniface Hospital, according to the team, after leaving the home game with 12:33 remaining in the third period. After taking a teammates' slapshot to the head in a scary incident on Tuesday, Winnipeg Jets forward Bryan Little required 25-30 stitches, according to the team. The Jets' release noted that the laceration was closed before Little was transferred to the neurological unit at St. Boniface hospital for further observation, and that he was alert at all times and in “good spirits” this morning. Little, who has an unfortunate history with head injuries, just recently returned to the Jets' lineup after his most recent concussion caused him to miss the first nine games of this season.
