After the Maple Leafs banked seven of a possible eight points over the last week (plus a few hours, here) despite leading for 16 minutes and 31 seconds total across 250-plus minutes contested over four games, what if Frederik Andersen was only just, good? Sean Couturier scored the decisive goal in a shootout, and the visiting Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2 Saturday night for their third straight win. The shootout was tied 1-1 when Couturier scored the winner to complete the third round. Right off the opening faceoff to start the second period in Saturday night's game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Philadelphia Flyers, star winger Mitch Marner got tangled up with Carsen Twarynski and had to leave the game. The winger was reportedly favouring his right knee as he was heading off. After the initial fall, it appeared to just be a simple skate issue and he was able to return to the ice shortly after.
