The Detroit Red Wings acquired Robby Fabbri from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for fellow forward Jacob de la Rose, the teams announced early Thursday morning. Fabbri has recorded one goal in nine games this season for the Blues. The 23-year-old has collected 32 goals and 41 assists in 164 career games since St. Louis selected him with a first-round pick (21st overall) in the 2014 NHL Draft. Continue to Article

After Wednesday's loss, Detroit has only won one of its last 13 games and a lot of the contests haven't even been close. The Rangers earned a 5-1 win against Detroit last night, but on top of that Detroit lost 6-1 to Nashville on Monday, 4-0 to Florida on Saturday, and 7-3 to Carolina on Friday. Tony DeAngelo and Ryan Strome scored power-play goals in the second period, Greg McKegg added a short-handed goal in the third, and the host New York Rangers beat the struggling Detroit Red Wings 5-1 on Wednesday night. The Rangers won for the fourth time in six games.
