Brown's due $5 million of a $9 million signing bonus on Monday, but the Patriots could try to void the deal and the $1 million guaranteed base salary he is owed. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported on Sunday morning that the NFL has met with the second woman accusing Brown of sexual assault. They finished up meeting with her just as the Patriots were cutting Brown. The Antonio Brown era in New England is over, and now the Patriots must move on and resume the defense of their Super Bowl title. The Patriots released Brown on Friday, almost two weeks after they signed the star wide receiver. Off-the-field issues, including a civil suit filed against Brown in Florida last week, created unneeded drama for the Patriots. Continue to Article
