One thing Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has yet to do in his distinguished career is wear a wristband with the play calls on it during a game. After Green Bay scored 10 points in its season-opening win against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 5 in Matt LaFleur's head coaching debut, the Packers on Friday had Rodgers try a wristband containing a cheat sheet for the play calls at practice in an effort to get the information relayed more quickly. Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire have been sold, with Joe Mansueto, the billionaire founder of investment research firm Morningstar, taking control of the club on Friday. The Fire announced that longtime chairman and owner Andrew Hauptmann has sold his controlling interest to Mansueto -- who had purchased a 49 percent stake in the club in 2018. The club also announced that it will play its 2020 season at Soldier Field, fabled home of the NFL's Chicago Bears. Continue to Article

The Chicago Fire have announced the sale of the franchise, as well as a relocation back to the Windy City after spending 13 years in nearby Bridgeview, Illinois. Fire Chairman and owner Andrew Hauptman, who had held a controlling stake in the team for 12 years, has sold Joe Mansueto, who is the executive chairman of Chicago-based investment research firm Morningstar. In addition, Hauptman announced he sealed an agreement which continues a process to allow the Fire to return to Chicago, having moved to nearby Bridgeview in 2006. Continue to Article

The Chicago Bears' 2019 season didn't exactly start the way many had hoped (or even expected). Sure, the defense was as good as it was in 2018, but Mitch Trubisky and the rest of the offense was so out of rhythm that it sparked questions not only about the team's ability to contend in 2019, but whether Trubisky is the right quarterback in Chicago. It's way too early to suggest Trubisky isn't the guy, but he needs to string together a few strong performances to silence his critics. Continue to Article
