Oakland Athletics pitcher Frankie Montas has been suspended for 80 games after testing positive for the banned performance enhancing substance Ostarine, the office of Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred announced Friday. The length of the ban means that Montas is certain to miss all but half a dozen of the Athletics' remaining games this season. Oakland Athletics pitcher Frankie Montas has been suspended 80 games after testing positive for Ostarine, a performance-enhancing substance banned by MLB's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program, the team announced Friday. The suspension is set to begin immediately.
