San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford couldn't handle Matt Chapman's high chopper with two outs in the 10th inning Sunday afternoon, allowing Marcus Semien to score from second base and give the host Oakland Athletics a second straight extra-inning win in the Bay Bridge Series, 6-5. The victory came hours after Oakland scored a 4-3, 11-inning victory on Saturday night and gave the A's two wins in each of the three-game series played leading into the All-Star break in San Francisco and coming out of the break in Oakland. Semien led off the 10th with a walk off the fourth Giants pitcher, left-hander Ty Blach (6-6), and took second on Stephen Piscotty's fly ball to the fence in center field. Continue to Article

Jonathan Lucroy drove in Matt Chapman with a two-out, walk-off single in the 11th inning Friday night, allowing the Oakland Athletics to overcome a rare blown save by closer Blake Treinen to defeat the San Francisco Giants 4-3 in Oakland, Calif. The win was Oakland's third in five consecutive games against the Giants, clinching no worse than a tie in the annual Bay Bridge Series that concludes Sunday. After having blown a 3-2 lead with two outs in the ninth, the A's strung together three consecutive singles with two outs off the Giants' seventh pitcher, left-hander Will Smith (0-1), in the 11th.
