Brewers general manager David Stearns wants reliever Josh Hader to "re-earn the trust" of his teammates when he rejoins the team Friday. The race to make moves before the July 31 non-waiver Trade Deadline is two weeks away and teams in the market to pick up a big bat or solidify their starting rotation for a playoff run are making calls around the league. Major League Baseball said Wednesday that Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Josh Hader will be required to go through sensitivity training after years-old racist and homophobic tweets of his resurfaced during the All-Star Game. MLB announced the commissioner's office would require Hader to participate in diversity and inclusion initiatives in addition to the sensitivity training. As Comrade Pavlovic explains here, the Los Angeles Dodgers' reported acquisition of Manny Machado is a gaudy rental that only slightly narrows the San Francisco Giants' path to a surprise postseason berth. In short, the rich got richer, and the Giants continue to mind the tax line.
