A foul ball that caught St. Louis catcher Yadier Molina in the groin on Saturday will sideline the Cardinals star for at least a month, according to team president John Mozeliak. Molina underwent surgery to repair a traumatic hematoma Saturday night, Mozeliak told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Sunday. The St. Louis Cardinals outfielder was up to his old theatrics early Monday morning, putting the finishing touch on a Cardinals sweep of the Cubs with a two-out, two-run home run in the bottom of the 14th inning. Fowler's game winner lifted St. Louis to a 4-3 victory over Chicago, doing so in a twice rain-delayed game that appeared to be all but finished when Javier Baez put the Cubs up by a run with his solo home run in the top of the 14th. Dexter Fowler's two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the 14th inning early Monday morning gave the St. Louis Cardinals a 4-3 win over the visiting Chicago Cubs at sold-out Busch Stadium. Harrison Bader started the winning rally with an infield single off Luke Farrell (0-2). Fowler followed by golfing a 2-2 fastball off the top of the right field wall and into the seats for his fifth homer and the Cardinals' fifth walk-off win in 17 home games. Continue to Article
