Green Bay Packers
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Aaron Rodgers' birthday was cause for celebration on Saturday -- not because the Green Bay Packers quarterback turned 34, but because he practiced for the first time since breaking his collarbone on Oct. 15. Rodgers still can't play for at least two more weeks because of the injured reserve rules, but the Packers activated him off injured reserve Saturday. It opens the door for him to play on Dec. 17 at Carolina. If he doesn't return vs. the Panthers, Rodgers would have to be activated the following week against the Vikings or he would not be able to play again this season. Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers celebrated his 34th birthday by returning to Green Bay Packers practice. The two-time NFL MVP is on injured reserve and was designated to return by the Packers on Saturday. But coach Mike McCarthy said Friday that Rodgers was on track for a trial return. Rodgers threw several Continue to Article

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, as expected, returned to practice on Saturday, for the first time since a right clavicle fracture resulted in the use of 13 screws to bind the bone together. Rodgers has made it clear that he’ll return only if he’s healthy, and if “it would make sense” to return. For now, it still makes sense, because the Packers remain alive for a playoff berth. Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers running back Ty Montgomery has been put on injured reserve, the team announced on Friday. Montgomery has been out since week 10 with a rib injury and had been hopeful to come back this season, but with the move to the IR that notion has been put to rest. Montgomery originally broke his ribs in week four during the Packers' matchup with Chicago and aggravated the injury in his most recent game on November 12 against the Bears. Continue to Article

Green Bay Packers
The Packers placed running back Ty Montgomery on injured reserve Friday, ending his season. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that he will require surgery, which is the reason for the move to injured reserve. Montgomery has 273 yards on 71 carries with an additional 173 receiving yards.
