Oakland Athletics infielder Adam Rosales has never been one to take a leisurely stroll after hitting a home run. Quite the contrary, in fact, as Rosales has become famous for turning his round trippers into all-out sprints. You might think that came to be because Rosales wasn’t always sure his baseball was leaving the yard. Continue to Article

OAKLAND – To say that Adam Rosales doesn’t lead off much is an understatement. With the A’s a little strapped against Seattle lefty starter Ariel Miranda, Rosales was Oakland’s leadoff hitter Saturday for the first time since 2013. When asked, he thought the last time he’d done it was 2012, but what’s a year or so when going over the highlights of your career. Rosales came into Saturday with five games as a leadoff hitter on his resume. A ballpark site in Oakland will be announced later this year. Continue to Article

Just a month after Las Vegas learned that it'll welcome its second professional sports franchise, the Oakland Raiders, a recent interview with MLB commissioner Rob Manfred has people talking about a third organization. The Chicago Tribune is reporting that Manfred is open to moving either the Oakland Athletics or Tampa Bay Rays to Las Vegas if either team can't negotiate new stadium deals. “If we were looking at relocation,” Manfred said, “Las Vegas would be on the list.” The move doesn't solely rely on relocation. There's the possibility of the MLB adding an expansion team in the future and Las Vegas would be on their short list of cities. “Until the Tampa Bay and Oakland situations are settled, Continue to Article

OAKLAND — First the Raiders, next the A’s? Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred said this week he is open to relocating a team to Las Vegas, possibly the Oakland A’s, according to a story in the Chicago Tribune. “If we were looking at relocation,” Manfred told a group of sports editors at league headquarters, “Las Vegas would be on the list.” The Tribune reported the A’s and Tampa Bay Rays as possibilities for relocation because they are struggling to secure financing for new stadiums in their home markets. The A’s are exploring several possible locations for a new stadium in Oakland and have launched a “Rooted in Oakland” marketing campaign highlighting their ties to the city. The Continue to Article
