Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports There are four games to sink your teeth into this Friday. Game 2 is usually the time for adjustments for the teams that lost their series opener. For the Canadiens, that means making life more miserable Continue to Article

It won't be a surprise this time. Pittsburgh coach Mike Sullivan confirmed Thursday that Marc-Andre Fleury will start in goal Friday when the Penguins and Columbus Blue Jackets play Game 2 of their first-round Eastern Conference playoff series at PPG Paints Arena. Fleury, a last-minute replacement for Matt Murray in Game 1 after Murray left the pregame warmup with a lower-body injury, made 31 saves in a 3-1 win. Continue to Article

Did you think the bold predictions would stop with the regular season? You were wrong, my friends! The Washington Capitals start their quest for the Stanley Cup on Thursday with Game 1 against the Toronto Maple Leafs (7 p.m., CSN). Here are three bold predictions for the game. 1. Washington will be outshot in the first period I am expecting this game to start out similarly to what we saw in the Columbus-Pittsburgh game on Wednesday. An inexperienced Blue Jackets team came out swinging and outshot the Penguins 16-3 in Pittsburgh. PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Penguins will be without goaltender Matt Murray for an unknown period of time. Murray was supposed to be in goal for Game 1 of the Penguins’ opening round series with the Columbus Blue Jackets. However, he suffered a lower-body injury during pregame warmups. As a result, Marc-Andre Fleury started and turned aside 31 shots to backstop the Penguins to a 3-1 victory. Today, head coach Mike Sullivan said there is no timeframe for Murray’s return. As for Fleury, he’ll be back between the pipes for Game 2 Friday night. Tristan Jarry will serve as the backup goaltender as he did for Game 1. Stay With KDKA.com For More Details Continue to Article

NHL playoff fever is not the sort of thing you need to seek medical attention for, but a head wound usually is. One Pittsburgh man, however, refused medical attention for his bleeding head on Wednesday night because the Penguins were playing, according to the Guardian. Police were called to an autobody shop about four miles from the Pens’ arena last night just after 9 p.m., or toward the end of the second period of Pittsburgh’s game against the Blue Jackets.
