Since star point guard Mo Watson suffered a season-ending knee injury in mid-January, Khyri Thomas has done a nice job filling the void and running the show for No. 20 Creighton. Watson, the nation's active assists leader, tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during Creighton's 72-67 victory at Xavier on Jan. 16. Creighton has won three of its last four games to regain its traction following the mid-January loss of star point guard Maurice Watson to a season-ending knee injury. Creighton Basketball’s Marcus Foster threw down a one-handed dunk with such authority on Saturday afternoon against DePaul that one of his teammates fainted. Foster was issued a technical foul after the dunk for staring down the defender. Foster finished with 13 points, three assists and three rebounds. Continue to Article

Three conference losses in five games have made a Big East regular season championship a harder reach for No. 23 Creighton. The Bluejays (20-4, 7-4) still have seven league games to play starting with Saturday's contest against DePaul at Allstate Arena, but they stand 2 1/2 games behind first-place Villanova, one behind second-place Xavier and one-half game in back of Butler (8-4).
