L.J. Peak had 21 points and 11 rebounds, Rodney Pryor added 20 points and Georgetown beat Syracuse 78-71 on Saturday to put a damper on what was a special day for the Orange. Washington, the man longtime Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim has called his most important player, died of cancer in April at age 52. The university is establishing the Pearl Washington Endowed Fund for Continuing Education and has set a $1 million endowment goal. Wisconsin coach Greg Gard was filled with a mix of emotions nearly one year ago during his first game as interim head coach when the Badgers posted an 84-79 victory against Green Bay.
