The Jets quarterback was knocked out of New York's 34-13 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Saturday night on the first play of the fourth quarter when he got sandwiched by Cameron Wake and Ndamukong Suh as he completed a 28-yard pass down the right sideline to Robby Anderson. Coach Todd Bowles said he would wait until the tests come back on Petty before determining who his starter will be against the Patriots. It appeared few players other than center Wesley Johnson moved at the snap, and Wake and Suh easily converged on Petty in the backfield. Continue to Article

After the New York Jets' second straight clunker in prime time, Todd Bowles pointed the finger solely at himself. There were plenty of mistakes, bad decisions and poorly executed plays to go around in a 34-13 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Saturday night. The youngest head coach in the NFL and the Miami Dolphins’ oldest position player (with apologies to 38-year-old Dolphins long snapper John Denney) deserve some attention in the postseason awards. Head coach Adam Gase (age 38) and pass rusher Cameron Wake (age 34) are having terrific seasons, and they were big reasons why the Dolphins overcame a slow start to take care of business Saturday night, 34-13, over the downtrodden New York Jets. It’s the first time the Dolphins have swept the Jets in a season since 2009. Continue to Article
