Lewis makes his season debut Wednesday when the Rangers and Seattle Mariners close a three-game series in Arlington. Texas won the teams' season opener 3-1 on Monday despite getting only one hit before Seattle broke out its power bats en route to a 10-2 victory Tuesday. Nelson Cruz and Robinson Cano hit solo homers, while Seth Smith and Luis Sardinas each added two-run shots in a six-run eighth. Continue to Article

Texas Rangers
The Major League Baseball season isn’t even a week old and already things are getting heated between American League West Division foes Texas and Seattle. So much for the laid-back days of spring. Seattle manager Scott Servais earned his first major league victory as a manager Tuesday night when the Mariners beat the Rangers 10-2 , but Servais won’t remember it just because of the win. [ Sign up for Fantasy Baseball | Play for $40K | Expert rankings | Mock draft ] The Mariners unloaded on Texas reliever Tom Wilhelmsen in the eighth inning with two home runs, two doubles and five earned runs. With no outs, Wilhelmsen eventually hit catcher Chris Iannetta with a pitch in the back of the leg and was ejected from the game, which led to Servais and Texas manager Jeff Banister coming out of their dugouts and screaming not-so-friendly words and pointing at each other. So good. Scott Servais telling Jeff Bannister "go f--- yourself!" pic.twitter.com/nOih5806ic — Larry Brown (@LBSports) April 6, 2016 Wilhelmsen spent the past five years pitching for Seattle and obviously has relationships with the players there. Of course, Iannetta is in his first year with the Mariners. So maybe he was the guy Wilhelmsen felt comfortable hitting, assuming he did so intentionally as the home plate umpire seemed to believe. However, it was the fifth hit batsman between the two teams in the first two games of the season. So tempers were already running short by the time this happened. [ Report: MLB approves wearable tech to measure stress, heart rate ] Did we mention it was only the second game of the season and these teams have to play each other 17 more times this season, including the rubber match of the series Wednesday? Should be interesting to see if everyone involved can put Tuesday’s hard feeling behind them or if this is going to be something we’re watching all season each time these clubs tangle. Seattle Mariners
J.A. Happ is eager to begin another opportunity with the Toronto Blue Jays, even if it comes at a venue that's given him some bad memories. The offseason addition hopes to make a strong first impression in his second tour of duty with the defending AL East champions in Wednesday's series finale with the Tampa Bay Rays. In need of reinforcements to a rotation that lost David Price to free agency and Mark Buehrle to retirement, the Blue Jays reunited with Happ on a three-year, $36 million contract in November. Seattle Mariners
Nelson Cruz hit one of four Seattle homers, fellow former Texas player Leonys Martin had a tiebreaking double and the Mariners bounced back from an opening day loss to beat the Rangers 10-2 Tuesday night. Scott Servais, who spent six years in player development with Texas, got his first win as a manager while having a shouting match with reigning AL Manager of the Year Jeff Banister. The pair exchanged words after former Seattle reliever Tim Wilhelmsen hit Chris Iannetta with a pitch. Continue to Article
