Tennessee guard Kevin Punter Jr. will undergo season-ending surgery to repair the stress fracture in his right foot that has sidelined the Volunteers' leading scorer the last four games. Stefan Moody did a little crossover stutter-step, dribbled behind his back and then let a 3-pointer fly from more than 25 feet away from the basket. The Ole Miss senior's fourth 3-pointer of the night gave him 24 points - better than his average of 22.8 - and there was still more than five minutes to go in the first half. Tennessee's coaches held a rare joint press conference Tuesday to say that an unfair picture of the athletic department is emerging amid a lawsuit that states the school mishandled sexual assault complaints against athletes. ''We don't want the stereotype that there's something out there that's not true,'' said Rick Barnes, the men's basketball coach. The federal suit filed Feb. 9 in Nashville by six unidentified women states Tennessee violated Title IX regulations and created a ''hostile sexual environment'' through a policy of indifference toward assaults by athletes.
