Eric Hosmer capped a four-run first inning by hitting a three-run homer, and the San Diego Padres held on for a 5-4 victory over the New York Yankees on Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium. The New York Mets activated outfielder Michael Conforto from the 7-day concussion list prior to Sunday's game against the Detroit Tigers.
