Toronto outscored Orlando by 22 points in his 22 minutes, and the Raptors held the Magic to 40 per cent shooting from the field for a second straight game thanks in large part to Gasol's lockdown defence against Orlando's lone all-star. Through two games, Nikola Vucevic is stuck on 17 points on 6-of-21 shooting with five turnovers against six assists. The Magic, the seventh seed in the East, won their first playoff game since their most recent postseason appearance in 2012. The Raptors, the second seed, fell to 2-14 all time in series-opening games. Continue to Article

Kyle Lowry and the Toronto Raptors entered the playoffs with a brand new slate but no one would fault you if it felt like history repeated itself again. Lowry, who has been criticized by many for his struggles during the playoffs, posted one of the worst showings of his career Saturday, failing to record a single point during the Raptors' 104-101 loss to the Orlando Magic in Game 1 of their first-round series. The veteran point guard went 0-7 from the field, and 0-6 from three-point range with the Magic providing him with plenty of open looks during the second half. Continue to Article
