For a dozen seasons, the San Francisco Giants baseball team was manned by skipper Bruce Bochy, whose tenure netted the team's first, second, and third World Series championships since 1954 when the team resided in New York. Shildt earned the award in his first full season on the job, even though Counsell received more first-place votes (13-10) from the Baseball Writers' Association of America. Minnesota Twins manager Rocco Baldelli won the AL prize in a tight finish over Aaron Boone of the New York Yankees. Continue to Article

Cavan Biggio and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. were among the lone bright spots for the Toronto Blue Jays in 2019 and the league certainly took notice. Biggio, who was called up from Triple-A on May 24, finished fifth in American League Rookie of the Year voting. Guerrero Jr. entered the 2019 season as baseball's unanimously highest-touted prospect and showed flashes of brilliance throughout his debut campaign. Continue to Article
