The New York Yankees will have Aroldis Chapman back in 2020 closing games for them. Chapman had an option to opt-out of his contract with the Yankees and test the free-agent market but instead signed an extension that will keep him in pinstripes through the 2022 season, ESPN reported. Chapman will make a total of $30 million over the next two seasons and then make $18 million in the final year of his contract, according to ESPN. Continue to Article

The Washington Nationals will take on the Houston Astros at sold-out Nationals Park holding a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series after improbably taking the first two games of the Major League Baseball championship in Houston. It will be the first World Series game played in the nation's capital since 1933, when the then-Washington Senators lost to the New York Giants and president Franklin Roosevelt threw out the ceremonial first pitch. Halfway to pulling off an epic World Series shocker, the Washington Nationals are defying the odds like few teams in baseball history in their bid to defeat the Houston Astros. The Nationals seized a 2-0 lead in Major League Baseball's best-of-seven final with two wins in Houston and only three teams have ever recovered from dropping the first two at home to win the title.
