The Philadelphia Eagles signed Super Bowl-winning running back Jay Ajayi on Friday. Ajayi last played in the NFL in Week 5 of the 2018 season, when he tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the Eagles' loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The 26-year-old has returned to Philadelphia, who confirmed his signing as Darren Sproles (hip) was placed on the injured reserve after being ruled out for the rest of the season. The Cleveland Browns' star defensive end can expect to pay a huge price for his helmet-swinging assault — there's no other way to describe it — on Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph in the closing seconds of a Thursday night game that turned into an episode of WWE Smackdown.
